My family and I in Jerusalem
11 days ago, my family and I came here to Israel and joined Pastor Ulf Ekman's Word of Life tour around Israel. We visited many places mentioned in the bible such as the City of David, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, and even the valley of Megido (which is Armageddon). However, more than just visiting places, we also met with God. It was a powerful, powerful time. It's hard to explain.
Israel is God's chosen land. The Promised Land. The center of the world. So many promises of the Bible have and will happen in Israel. As Christians, we have to get behind Israel and pray for her. Pray for the peace of Israel. Pray for God's people, the Jews. We cannot have the wrong mentality about this. Israel and the Jews are God's chosen, and we cannot hate what God loves.
Currently, the situation in Israel is escalating. The Hamas have taken over the Gaza Strip in the south, and just a couple days ago 2 rockets from Lebanon landed on the Golan Heights in the north. Israel is surrounded by countries who all wish for the annihilation of her, and so we must pray!
Anyway, now the tour is over. My family and I are currently bumming around in Tel-Aviv, spending money on massive Israeli sandwiches...
I'll see you guys on the next cg meeting!
